Our Wine Labels

The labels shown below was created by me (Greg) using Adobe Photoshop. I know there are all sorts of programs out there for making wine labels, but I've always used Photoshop for all my graphic needs. Photoshop is not the easiest graphic software to use to create labels, especially for people who have little to no experience using the program, but with time, practice and good tutorials, you can create professional looking labels.

Signature Label Geaux Tigers! Mardi Gras Reserve

When I created these labels, I designed them to be simple and to the point, but elegant at the same time. The first image shown is our standard or everyday label that we use on just about every bottle of wine that we produce and give away. The Pelican is Louisiana's official State Bird and appears on the Louisiana State Flag and the Great Seal, so I chose the pelican as Talisheek Cellar's logo. I guess you can say that this label is our signature label.

If you look around our website, you can pretty much figure out that we are LSU football fans - Geaux Tigers!!! Sorry about that, I just had to do it! Anyway, when our Tigers win big or have a great season, we celebrate their victory or season by bottling one of our wines that has been aging in our cellar and we share it with other LSU fans.

Mardi Gras, or carnival, is as much a part of life in Southeastern Louisiana as politics, weather, and economics. Each year; the Mardi Gras season starts on January 6 and ends 46 days before Easter. Of course, New Orleans, our southern neighbor is the place to be if you want to experience the grand spectacle of Mardi Gras, but here in St. Tammany Parish, Mardi Gras is a little bit more laid back, not as extravagant as our southern neighbors, but we still have a lot of fun. To usher in the Mardi Gras season, we choose a wine from our cellar that we feel captures the spirit of Mardi Gras and we share it with other parade-goers. Sounds like fun doesn't it? Come on down and join us, I promise you will have a good time.

Last but not least is our reserve red wines, the wine that we feel stands out above the rest. We taste each red wine that is aging in our cellar in order to check the progress of the wine and if it exceeds our high standards and expectations, we bottle the wine using this label and share it sparingly with friends and family.
